Android 5.1 Lollipop Update Hits HTC One M9 in European Markets
Considered as one of the top smartphones released so far this year, the HTC One M9 is selling well, though it has not met the company's expectations.
However, following the company's footsteps in releasing software updates, the HTC One M9 smartphones in Europe will finally be getting the Android 5.1 Lollipop treatment.
While the U.S. versions of the device have already received the update, it is still exciting news for One M9 users in Europe that their smartphone will get the update soon.
According to a report by GSM Arena, the announcement came from Graham Wheeler, HTC's Product and Service Director, via a post in his Twitter account.
Unfortunately, there are still no updates when the Android 5.1 update will hit other markets such as those in Asia.
The HTC One M9 is HTC's flagship device that was announced earlier this year, although there are rumors pointing to another 'hero phone' to be launched before the year ends.
The current flagship packs a 5.1-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 3GB of RAM, and a Snapdragon 810 chipset.
While most of the phone's specs have been upgrades compared to the One M8, critics were not pleased with the phone's FHD screen.
