Android 7.0 Nougat Update for Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge Coming Feb. 20, according to T-Mobile
Other Samsung Galaxy devices also set to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update from T-Mobile
Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge owners anticipating the release of the Android 7.0 Nougat update may now have a specific date to look forward to.
The T-Mobile support site entries for both devices were recently updated and they now show an exact date of arrival for the operating system update.
According to those listings, T-Mobile subscribers who own either of the two devices can expect the update to be made available for them starting Feb. 20.
Notably, subscribers looking to download the update on that day will need to get their devices ready first.
Device owners will need to have a stable internet connection of some kind prior to starting the download process, and it is also recommended for the smartphones to have 50 percent battery life remaining or even something above that.
Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge owners will also need to make sure that they still have some free space remaining on their smartphones prior to downloading the Android 7.0 Nougat update.
Owners of the aforementioned Samsung smartphones can also attempt to download either over-the-air or by using a computer.
As always, subscribers should also not use their smartphones while the update is being downloaded.
It's worth noting that the Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge are not the only Samsung devices expected to receive the Nougat update courtesy of T-Mobile.
T-Mobile previously revealed that the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and the S6 Edge+ are all due to receive the Nougat 7.0 update as well, though it may take a bit longer for the new OS to reach these other devices, as the support site lists that the downloadable is still in the "Manufacturer Development" stage for them.
More news about when the Android 7.0 Nougat OS update will be specifically released for other Samsung devices should be made available in the near future.
