Android 7.1.2 Update for Pixel and Nexus Devices Out, New Features Included
Android 7.1.2 update available as an over-the-air update
There is a new update that was released just recently for certain Google Pixel and Nexus devices, and that is none other than the Android 7.1.2 update.
Specifically, the devices that are reportedly eligible to receive this update are the Pixel, Pixel XL as well as the Pixel C, while owners of the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P and the Nexus Player may also be able to download it, according to a recent report from Android Central.
Notably, the 7.1.2 update affects the aforementioned devices in different ways.
In a new report, 9to5 Google pointed out the ways in which the devices can change after the update is installed.
For instance, the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones have received some needed fixes courtesy of this update. The fingerprint swipe should work better now with the 7.1.2 update installed, while the Bluetooth component is also expected to feature notable improvements.
Meanwhile, the Pixel C is now also expected to work even better with the Pixel Launcher.
New features have also been added to the Nexus 5X and the 6P by the Android 7.1.2 update.
It is still unclear exactly how the Nexus Player may have been improved by the addition of this latest operating system update.
