Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Release Date Coming to Samsung S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, and Note 5
The new Samsung devices, S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, and Note 5, may receive the Android 6.0 or Android Marshmallow anytime soon.
The Korean technology giant is said to be releasing a major update for its flagship smartphones. According to Tech Times, this update may be bigger than the normal updates that the company usually rolls out.
SamMobile was the first to leak about the said updates for the Galaxy phones, according to a report from Latinos Post. The website said that since the Samsung phones still have the old Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, it will carry a huge change once the Galaxy smartphones are now on the Android Marshmallow OS.

Yibada mentioned that the update might be released before the end of the year; however, no exact date was given yet on when exactly the new Android OS will be rolled out.
According to Android Police, the rollout for all Android devices will be quite slow. "As with all of Google's updates, you can expect the process to be slow if you wait for the OTA," the website said. "The update ZIP will probably be located quickly, though, allowing you to manually update."
Android Police also said that Android users will be able to get factory images, should they need to revert back to the stock OS or if their device is already rooted. "October 5th is when the final Marshmallow code will be pushed to AOSP too," the website added.
The new Android 6.0 OS was released last Sept. 29, and was first available only to Google's new Nexus devices, the LG Nexus 5X and the Huawei Nexus 6P. Other major phone companies, like Samsung, Sony, and LG, are expected to follow soon in preparing for the Android Marshmallow update for their other Android phones.
Samsung Galaxy owners will just have to wait a little more for them to enjoy the new features of Android Marshmallow on their S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, and Note 5.
