Angelina Jolie, 6 Kids Fly to Australia Amid Syria Adoption Rumors

Angelina Jolie and her six kids were photographed at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Wednesday ahead of their flight to Australia and reports claim the brood is likely to grow as the actress and Brad Pitt allegedly want more children.

Dressed in black and looking seemingly relaxed Jolie, 37, was seen guiding Maddox, 12, Pax, 9, Zahara, 8, Shiloh, 7, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 5, through the paparazzi frenzy before boarding a flight. Pitt, 49, was not present, but he is expected to join his family at a later date.

The famous family will reportedly stay down under for an extended period while Jolie works on directing her second film, "Unbroken," just months after she underwent a preventative double mastectomy.

Reports claim the Hollywood couple is hoping for at least two more children in addition to the six they already share as Jolie, who is a United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Special Envoy, was reportedly inspired to adopt after visiting Syrian refugees in the Middle East in recent months.

"What is happening to the children of Syria is sickening. Thousands of innocent young boys and girls have lost their lives in horrific circumstances, including in recent attacks near Damascus," Jolie said in a statement obtained by E! News. "These vulnerable children need shelter, food and assistance. But above all, they need security."

While Jolie is said to be eager to adopt again, the actress and Pitt are reportedly also trying to conceive naturally.

"Angie and Brad's attitude towards kids is the more the better and that once you have several a few more makes no difference," a source told The Sun UK.

"She has been particularly touched by the situation in Syria and wants to adopt a child from Jordan to do her bit to help," the source continued. "The publicity would help draw the world's attention to what's going on there."

Jolie, who shares three biological and three adopted children with Pitt, adopted Maddox from Cambodia, Pax from Vietnam and Zahara from Ethiopia.

"Angie and Brad have agreed it's time for more kids. They're crossing their fingers that they'll bring their next child home soon," the source revealed. "Angie and Brad also want to have one more biological child so she is eating a diet rich in potassium."

Jolie, who has kept a low profile in Hollywood in recent years to focus on philanthropic work, has reportedly wanted to expand her family for some time.

"Angelina has been talking about having another child for years now but Brad kept putting his foot down because of their intense schedules and chaotic lifestyle," a source previously told Star magazine.

The couple, who has been together for eight years, confirmed their engagement in April 2012 and while they are yet to reveal their wedding date, reports claim that they may be walking down the aisle "soon."
