Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt 2017 News: Couple Reportedly Involved in 'Honey Trap' Plot to Capture Ugandan Warlord Kony

Angelina Jolie and her ex-husband Brad Pitt are prepared to take audacious risks to save children everywhere, as a recent report revealed. The couple was allegedly involved in a daring plot to lure Kony out of hiding through a private dinner with the actress.

The actress and mother of six is reportedly keen to take part in catching international criminal Joseph Kony, who has been entrenched in the Central African Republic for some years now. A dangerous plot has allegedly been laid out for the actress to take part in, according to the Sunday Times via Newsweek.

Luis Moreno Ocampo, former chief prosecutor for the International Criminal Court, is reportedly willing to use any means necessary to catch Kony, even if it involves using Angelina Jolie as bait. The plan was hinted at in a series of emails supposedly obtained by French website Mediapart.

"Forget other celebrities, she is the one," Ocampo reportedly wrote in an email. "She loves to arrest Kony. She is ready. Probably Brad will go also," the message continued.

Angelina Jolie reportedly wrote back that "Brad is being supportive. Let's discuss logistics. Much love Xxx." The plan is as simple as it is bold: the actress is to lure Kony out to a private dinner, where he is to be cuffed and captured.

Talks after that appear to have trailed off after that exchange, however, with Jolie not able to write back to Ocampo.

The 42-year-old mother has lashed out at the Ugandan warlord in more than one occasion, calling him "an extraordinarily horrible human being," as quoted by Us Magazine.

Kony has been indicted in 2005 for war crimes and crimes against humanity by the International Criminal Court in Hague, for acts including the abduction of children to turn into soldiers and sex slaves.

He has evaded capture for years, continuing to lead the operations of his group called the "Lord's Resistance Army."
