Angelina Jolie to Wed Brad Pitt Aboard Luxury Ship Following Mastectomy

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will reportedly wed aboard a cruise ship in Scotland, following the actress' double mastectomy.

The Hollywood couple, who got engaged in 2012 after seven years together, were initially planning to walk down the aisle at their French Chateau however they recently altered these plans at the request of their oldest son, Maddox. The pair is now expected to wed aboard the Hebridean Princess while sailing the waters off Scotland, according to The Sun UK.

"It was Maddox who came up with the idea of the ship. He came across it after looking back at photos of the Carnell Estate in Ayrshire, where they stayed and all loved," a source told The Sun UK's Bizarre.

"So now they've made enquiries into booking the whole vessel," the source revealed. "It's just what they're after. It can hold up to 50 of their friends and family and serve as a traditional, romantic setting — all totally private."

In February Jolie, 38, underwent a preventive double mastectomy after learning that she was at risk of developing breast cancer due to a defective BRCA1 gene. The mother-of-six is now said to be in better health and is now ready to proceed with her wedding to Pitt.

The Hebridean Princess is said to be a popular cruise amongst the royal family, as the Queen reportedly booked it in 2006 to celebrate her 80th birthday. Pitt, 49, and Jolie are said to be excited to book the entire vessel, which would reportedly cost in excess of $450,000.

"...They could always sail to a secluded bay off the Orkney or Shetland islands and have the ceremony there. The kids are all hooked on old British voyages, so they would love it," the source said. "The fact that Maddox found it makes it more special."

Ken Charleson, chief operating officer of the ship's owners, Hebridean Island Cruises, reportedly refused to confirm whether the Hollywood stars had booked the luxury cruise ship.

"We have a very confidential relationship with a number of high-profile guests. I can't confirm whether they have been making enquiries or not," Charleson said. "But of course, they are more than welcome."
