Angelina Jolie Wedding: Actress to Marry Brad Pitt 'Soon' Following Double Mastectomy

Angelina Jolie and her fiance Brad Pitt are said to be more focused on their upcoming wedding following the actress' double mastectomy surgery and a source claims the couple will tie the knot "soon."

Jolie, 37, revealed Tuesday that she underwent a preventative double mastectomy after doctors estimated the mother of six had an 87 percent risk of breast cancer and a 50 percent risk of ovarian cancer. A new report claims Jolie and Pitt, 49, are now eager to get married.

"Angie is keen on a wedding and the kids are clamouring for a marriage and keep asking Brad and Angie when it's happening," a source told the Daily Mail.

"Brad has been caught up in production turmoil with his new film World War Z, so there's been no wedding planning as a result, but Angie has said it will happen sooner rather than later," the source added.

The couple, who began dating in 2005 after meeting on the set of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," is said to be intent on making their union official.

"They are all for all intents and purposes married, but it's become clear that it's important to them to make it official," a source said, reiterating that a wedding will take place "soon."

The Oscar award-winning actress revealed that despite her harrowing ordeal, having her breasts removed brought her and Pitt closer. She praised the Hollywood actor for his ongoing support.

"I am fortunate to have a partner, Brad Pitt, who is so loving and supportive. So to anyone who has a wife or girlfriend going through this, know that you are a very important part of the transition. Brad was at the Pink Lotus Breast Center, where I was treated, for every minute of the surgeries," Jolie wrote in a New York Times op-ed entitled "My Medical Choice."

Pitt, 49, reportedly proposed to Jolie in April 2012 after seven years together and the couple shares three biological and three adopted children.

"We managed to find moments to laugh together. We knew this was the right thing to do for our family and that it would bring us closer. And it has," Jolie wrote.

In February, Lucille Michel, who works as a florist, opened up about Pitt and Jolie's wedding plans in an interview with Grazia magazine U.K.

"Guests will travel past water fountains and Shetland ponies leaping as they go up the two-mile long drive to the house," Michel told Grazia.

"When the guests park, they'll see the family of elephants. Brad hopes it will make them smile," he continued adding. "Apparently, the elephants were the children's idea."

The couple's six children Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5, and 3-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne will all play individual roles during the ceremony, with the three girls set to be flower girls.

"They want the wedding to take place just before sunset, so that as they say their vows the church will fill with fabulous red, orange and yellow light," Michel said.

"Lawns have all got new sprinkler systems in, so they'll be green and lush for the big day. Brad wants the guests to say, 'Wow' the moment they sweep through the gates," he added.
