'Anime-Gataris' Episode 3 Spoilers: Newly Revived Anime Club to Face Its First Major Challenge

What started out as a simple question regarding an anime she watched as a child has now brought self-confessed anime newbie, Minoa Asagaya, on the path to discovering more about something that did not previously interest her. Can she possibly keep up with the newly formed Anime Club at school on the Japanese anime series, "Anime-Gataris"?

The previous episode started out the same way as the premiere, except that this time, it featured Minoa's rich classmate, Arisu Kamiigusa, and her trusted butler, Sebas, who took on the giant robot and very easily defeated it.

The next day, the recruitment for new Anime Club members officially began, and Minoa and Arisu have even signed on a rather non-meddling faculty member as their supervisor. Moreover, they have also managed to reach the required six members to start an official club.

But just when all things seem to be going fine for the newly revived club, they were handed with an eviction notice barring them from using any room for their club activities, effective immediately and for an indefinite time.

The short preview at the end of the episode hints at this unexpected twist being at the center of the next episode. How will the six members of the Anime Club, who have barely had time to get truly acquainted, work together to regain their right to be treated as a legitimate after-school club?

Also, who even asked for and eventually signed the notice, and what unresolved issues does he or she have with the Anime Club? Will the three girls who brought the notice to them be their biggest rivals throughout the entire series, or will these girls eventually turn into their unexpected ally?

There also seems to be something going on with Minoa's dad, who had a rather mysterious look on his face when his youngest daughter mentioned about being in the Anime Club at breakfast. Fans are speculating all sorts of possibilities like the dad could be an anime fan himself and was the one who made Minoa watch that yet to be identified anime show when she was a kid.

He may have also been a member of the school's old Anime Club and may also know the origin and mystery of the supernaturally articulate cat.

"Anime-Gataris" airs on Sundays at 10 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX and on Wednesdays at midnight JST on BS Fuji. It also airs on AT-X on Fridays at 10:30 p.m. JST. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official site. Episodes will also be simulcast in selected regions outside Japan via Crunchyroll.
