Anna Duggar Gushes Over New Baby, Admits She Received Lots of Help From Family During Labor

Anna Duggar recently opened up about the birth of her fifth child with controversial reality star, Josh Duggar.

Earlier this month, Anna and Josh welcomed their new baby, Mason. Anna recently caught up with Us Weekly and she expressed her happiness over the arrival of their newborn.

"It was a long labor, but complication free and I feel really great," she shared. "It's a blessing to have so much help from our moms and family members. Our other little ones adore Mason and want to hold him all the time!"

The Duggars' rep confirmed that Anna had an assisted home birth. Mason was officially born in their residence in Northwest Arkansas.

A day after giving birth, Anna expressed gratitude to her mother-in-law Michelle Duggar for helping her take care of Mason. On Michelle's birthday, Josh and Anna paid tribute to the Duggar matriarch on YouTube by recounting their memorable moments with her over the years.

"I am so thankful for you," Anna said. "One of the sweetest memories that I have of you that I cherish is how that you will come over and just be there as a help when I'm laboring and having a baby,"

She added, "Then, that first night, you pretty much stay up all night with the new grandbaby so that we're able to get some sleep."

Anna further revealed Michelle helped a lot even just by simply changing diapers and singing to her children. She went on to thank Michelle for the "love and tenderness" she has given to her family.

Unfortunately, fan reactions to the Duggars' announcement have been mixed due to the scandal that rocked the family in 2015. Rumors about Anna planning to divorce Josh has been circulating online since his infidelity and past transgressions went public two years ago.

Anna and Josh, both 29, got married in 2008. Before welcoming Mason, they are already parents to Mackynzie, 7, Michael, 6, Marcus, 4, and Meredith, 2.
