Anna Duggar Update: Financial Woes Loom Ahead for Josh Duggar's Kids
Anna Duggar may be forced to participate in the "19 Kids and Counting" spin-off to allay her fears of financial problems for her four kids with husband Josh Duggar.
The reality show was canceled in the wake of a revelation about Josh Duggar's molestation of underage girls. Now, 27-year-old Anna Duggar may be torn between filing for a divorce and joining "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" to support the financial needs of their four children, according to a Fashion & Style report cited by the Inquisitr.
Josh has been the talk of town this year after it was revealed that he had molested some of his underage sisters and other girls during his teen years. Reports later surfaced about his secret addiction to porn and his infidelity. He then checked himself into a faith-based rehabilitation center, leaving Anna to tend to their four children.
When Anna appeared on "Jill & Jessa: Counting On," fans were concerned over her frail demeanor, and some thought that her family woes are starting to affect her health. Her father-in-law, Jim Bob, tried to get her to stay with them by offering her a new home, but she refused the gift. Some fans think that Anna has decided for now to stay with the Duggars because of her participation in the spin-off show, the report details.
To make matters worse, an adult movie star sued Josh for allegedly assaulting her during a paid intimate encounter. Ashley Stamm-Northup, who is known as Danica Dillon, is suing Josh for $500,000 in damages. The latest issue comes as the biggest blow so far in Anna's life this year.
In a sneak peek into the Duggars' new show, Anna is seen talking about how she felt when she learned of Josh's cheating ways and other scandals. She will finally break her silence in light of the series of unfortunate events in her life, the International Design Times reports.
"My thoughts were for Anna. You're angry and hurt and all of those emotions mixed together," the Inquisitr quotes Jill Duggar-Dillard's statement in the sneak peek. "I cried a lot of tears, I still do. I know I am hurting."
Fans have yet to see if Anna Duggar can survive long enough in "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" to continue supporting her kids. The new reality show will begin airing on Dec. 13 at 8 p.m. on TLC.
