Anne Hathaway's Veil 'Looks Like a Diaper'? (PHOTO, VIDEO)

Ann Hathaway's massive veil stole the show at her wedding after pictures of her trying the knot with Adam Schulman were revealed.

Ann Hathaway, 29, married actor and jewelry designer Adam Shulman, 31, in Big Sur, California over the weekend in a well-planned ceremony. The bride donned a Valentino gown with a long train. But what caught many people's attention was not Hathaway's dress, but rather her dress-sized veil.

The veil began with massive band that wrapped around Hathaway's forehead almost like a Tubie Twist- the infamous, super absorbent hair towel. Hathway's hair was then stacked high atop of her head and revealed through an opening in the tube-like structure, which was covered in what appeared to be white flowery decorations.

The veil then extended down Hathaway's back, forming a large mass whose fullness gave competition to the entire length of the dress. The "Princess Diaries" star more resembled the young, awkward character on her big day than her lithe, finessed look seen in "The Dark Knight Rises."

The ceremony took place at Yifat Oren and Stefanie Cove in California, where witnesses attested to the couple's love for each other.

"They seemed incredibly happy and in love," an eyewitness told Us Weekly. "They were posing for pictures after the wedding and seemed giddy and on an adrenaline high. At one point, they had a moment to themselves and they just looked at each other for a long time and then kissed."

The comment blogs were overloaded with reflections on Hathaway's wedding attire, but even supportive fans questioned the actress' selection of a veil.

"The dress is beautiful!" Clarsma suggested on the US blog. "I'm not to (sic) partial to the headdress, but it's her wedding and if she loved it... it was perfect. Congrats to the couple."

"WHAT is that on her head?!" one user asked on the E! blog. "Looks like a diaper, unfortunately," another user responded.

"Dress, beautiful, but in a dirt setting? but WHAT is on her head? If she hated her hair still short, get extensions, but that thing looks like a bubushka gone horribly jersey shore," another user opined. The veil was meant to be 1920s inspired.
