Another 'Star Wars' Game in Development at EA
It seems that "Star Wars Battlefront" is not the only new video game that is coming out of the "Star Wars" franchise. Electronic Arts which is developing "Battlefront," may be developing another "Star Wars" game at EA's Visceral Studios.
This was revealed by Amy Hennig, a known writer from the development team of "Uncharted 4." Hennig had left developer Naughty Dog and joined EA last year – she also shared that she was working on the "next big 'Star Wars' game" at EA.
This news was reportedly confirmed by Hennig's co-worker on "Uncharted 4," voice actor Nolan North, who is also a friend of Hennig. North was apparently speaking at the Tampa Metrocon 2015 about "Uncharted 4" and he spoke about Hennig and her current project during his talk.
"If you're a big fan of Amy Hennig and her styles of stories, the big thing about her is she's gone to EA and is going to reboot a brand-new Star Wars franchise in the style of Uncharted," North said in a YouTube video. "And I happen to know a lot about it, and it's going to be awesome."
During his talk, one fan asked whether the new game in development is anything like the cancelled "Star Wars 1313" game. He responded by saying that "it's different, but it's along the same lines."
"Star Wars 1313" was the cancelled video game project of LucasArts, before they were bought out by Disney and closed out. The video game was supposed to be an action-adventure game, and an initial gameplay trailer was released during the 2012 E3.
The gameplay trailer for 1313, according to the report, showed some gameplay that had "plenty in common with that in the "Uncharted" franchise. The report speculated that with Hennig involved in the new project, she may be bringing in her experience in working on "Uncharted" and injecting this in the new "Star Wars" game.
