Anthony Bourdain Slams Quentin Tarantino for 'Complicity' With Harvey Weinstein

CNN host Anthony Bourdain took a shot at director Quentin Tarantino at the Produced By conference in New York over "complicity" with producer Harvey Weinstein.

During the Q&A, the renowned chef brought up the "Pulp Fiction" director as he was discussing his decision to reject what appeared to be a sumptuous money offer involving merchandise and several other ventures.

"[Taking the offer] would have destroyed everything—everything that makes us good, everything that makes us happy, our quality of life," Bourdain said about his and producing partners Lydia Tengalia and Chris Collins' decision to turn down the offer.

"It would have been a lethal compromise, a slow-acting poison that would have nibbled away at our souls until we ended up like Quentin Tarantino, looking back at a life of complicity, shame, and compromise."

Bourdain refused to answer further questions about his statement. And he declined to elaborate on it.

But one thing is for sure, Bourdain has no sympathy for Tarantino, who admittedly had an idea about Weinstein's inappropriate advances.

Bourdain is currently seeing Italian actress and director Asia Argento, who is one of the many women who have come forward as a recipient of unwanted sexual advances from the producer.

"I knew enough to do more than I did. ... I knew [Weinstein] did a couple of these things," Tarantino admitted. Additionally, the director said he regrets not taking action after word of Weinstein's sexual misconduct surfaced.

Tarantino has helmed most of his films through Weinstein's company Miramax.

Reports say that there are now over 60 women who have gone public about being Weinstein's victim of sexual assault and harassment, including Ashley Judd, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Beckinsale, and Cara Delevingne.

Weinstein is reportedly receiving treatment for sex addiction at an outpatient facility.
