Apple's iPhone Event is Scheduled to Happen on September 7

Apple is expected to reveal their iPhone 7 smartphones on their annual event on September 7.

Judging from the past annual Apple events, the tech company is not likely to reveal the official details ahead of time. However, there are rumors and leaks that fans can count on to expect especially regarding the upcoming iPhone 7.

Apple's brand new iPhone 7 line is highly awaited by fans and critics alike and it is expected that the company will be launching the devices on September 7. According to Polygon, the iPhone 7 may come out without the 3.5mm headphone jack. It will instead be replaced with a lightning adapter in order to listen to music through the wireless headphones.

The iPhone 7 is rumored to have an OLED screen instead of LCD. It will come with five different colors including dark black, silver, gold, rose gold and a rumored blue version.

With regards to the hardware design, the iPhone 7 will look identical to the iPhone 6S but it will reportedly be thinner. Mac World reports that the iPhone 7 Plus, which is included in the launching event, will have a dual-lens camera system which will enable the phone to capture high-quality images similar to a DSLR.

As for the Apple Watch 2, it is rumored to have an independent GPS of its own. This means that the new Apple Watch is made more handy and can have many features of its own because of it.

In addition to GPS tracking and cellular connectivity, the Apple Watch 2 has also been fortified with a faster processor, barometer and upgraded water-resistance. Design-wise, the Apple Watch 2 may not look much different than its predecessor. According to Polygon, it is rumored that the Apple Watch 2 will have increased battery life, better camera and other premium features.

Apple will be live streaming the annual event through their website. It can be watched at apple.co/live. Wired points out that the link can be accessed through an iPhone, iPod, iPad, a Safari browser running at least an iOS 7.0. On a Mac computer, it is required to have at least Safari 6.0.5 abd OS X v10.8.5.

PC users will also be able to watch the livestream granting they need to have the Windows 10 update and Microsoft Edge. The Apple Event 2016 will start 10 a.m. Pacific Time or 1 p.m. East Coast.
