Apple Event 2017 Rumors: 12.9-inch iPad Pro to Release on April 4 in Apple Spring Event?
Is an Apple Event about to be held on April 4, like recent rumors are saying?
Maybe or maybe not, there is just no way of telling for sure. What seems more likely though is that a 12.9-inch iPad Pro is coming out on April 4. As for whether or not it will officially be launched at an event happening on the same day still remains to be seen.
Apple World Today recently reported that the Apple online store currently lists the 12.9-inch iPad Pro for an April 4 release, and that the device will be available in all possible colors, storage sizes, and connectivity choices.
As for speculations about the spring event possibly happening in April, the date coincides with the scheduled opening of the new 175-acre Apple Park, which is expected to open its doors to employees in April. But while the new Cupertino headquarters may be ready to be occupied by the company's more than 12,000 workers, construction of the buildings and parklands will still continue through the summer.
Will Apple Park, more specifically the 1,000-seat Steve Jobs Theater be ready to hold the rumored spring event in April? Everybody's waiting with bated breath for Apple to send out the official invitations to either confirm or debunk the currently popular speculation.
Another hint that a spring event may be happening in April is that iPad deals on some local carriers are offering $150 off on most tablet models until April 1, which is just three days before the potential date for an Apple spring event.
And while April 4 being the first Tuesday of the month seems like another hint to support this speculation, same day hardware releases very rarely happens for Apple products, and it seems a little too soon to be holding events of this scale at a partially completed new campus.
Apple is expected to launch new 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models this year, along with a new variant featuring a 10.5-inch display.
