Apple iOS 10.2 Jailbreak Tool Update: Tech Giant Continues to Smash the Jailbreaking Scene
It looks like it may be the end of the jailbreak community as Apple has been successful thus far in warding off hacks against its latest firmware. With the iOS 10.2.1 update released last Jan. 23, the jailbreaking scene continues to eat dust.
As a matter of fact, even the famed jailbreaker Luca Todesco has decided to first fix his initially released Yalu102, which is his jailbreak tool for iOS 10.2 that was said to still be in beta. Users of the tool, however, have commented that it was filled with bugs, thus Todesco will be focusing on that for the mean time.
As for 10.2.1, it appears he is going to take some much needed time off in order to take care of his own stuff, but that he will continue to research on it, though not publicly. If this proves anything, it is that the Cupertino giant is arguably winning every bout since the 10.2 update.
It can be recalled in the past that Todesco has admitted that it is going to be a close to impossible task to create a tool against iOS 10.2 as it smashes all bugs that exploited the previous firmware. Apple has been taking an aggressive stance since then, and from the looks of it, the tech company is winning.
As for the Chinese jailbreak team Pangu, they mentioned that there will be a delay in releasing the 10.2 jailbreak tool last Jan. 25, but with no proof to show, there is a reason to believe it was a mere bluff. They have kept a long silence since the iOS update and without any product to reveal to the community, people are just waiting on Todesco, who is obviously having a hard time as well.
People resort to jailbreaking to access apps that are otherwise unavailable to iOS-driven smartphones. With Apple being successful in stopping them in their tracks, it is safe to say that it may have finally won.
