Apple iPhone 5se, iPad Air 3, Apple Watch 2 Release Set For March 18

With Apple reportedly unveiling the smaller iPhone model iPhone 5se and the new iPad Air 3 during a special event on March 15, a new report has surfaced claiming that Apple fans may not need to wait for long before they can get a hold of the new Apple devices. According to news site 9to5Mac, both the iPhone 5se and the iPad Air 3 will be made available to consumers on March 18, three days after its supposed launch.

The report points to inside sources that say that the company will not offer the devices for pre-order but will be selling them almost immediately after its launch. This is a new strategy being employed by Apple, who has traditionally waited a few weeks after a product's launch before releasing it in the market. According to the report, the company has been busy making sure that the devices are manufactured in time for the release, with sources saying that production started "ramping up" early this year.

According to another report in The Independent, there are also rumors about the unveiling of the Apple Watch 2 during the March 15 event. The report claims that the wearable's release date will not be following that of iPhone 5se and iPad Air 3 as it is more likely that it will be released later in the year.

The reports say that the iPhone 5se continues the idea of a smaller-sized iPhone which was started by the iPhone 4C series. Unlike the colorful cases of the iPhone 4C, however, the new device is rumored to have a design that is similar to that of the iPhone 5s. Under the hood, it is touted to be equipped with a faster A9 processor and a new camera. It is also reported to support Apple Pay, like its bigger-sized siblings.

The iPad Air 3, on the other hand, brings a lot of improvements compared to its predecessor, the iPad Air 2. According to the report, it will be compatible with new Apple accessories such as the Apple Pencil and the Smart Keyboard.
