Apple News: Tech Giant To Carry Over Rear Camera Design on iPhone X To The 2018 Lineup
KGI's analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said that Apple will be keeping the same six-element rear camera for their 2018 iPhones.
The smartphone market has seen through an intense competition this year, with tech giants working hard to bets one another. Considering that Apple's iPhone X has received multiple reviews from the press who had a chance to experience it earlier, the rumor mill is once again churning with activity.
"With its rear camera specs, iPhone X has managed to strike a phenomenal balance between picture quality and form factor design, in our opinion, given how far we've come today technologically," Kuo said in a statement, as reported by Apple Insider. "Switching from a 6P lens to a 7P lens or a 2G3P hybrid lens, with camera module design largely similar to iPhone X's, would make for only limited improvements in aperture performance, we believe."
This might be the result of a reflection from the giant and their decision to ensure that their future iPhones will not suffer the same fate as the iPhone X in terms of the delay in production and release, as well as the limited units that will be available.
Thus, by carrying over the technology from the iPhone X to their 2018 iPhone lineup, Apple would at least have the advantage of being aware of how to integrate the elements they would like and see the output they envisioned. Furthermore, the process is expected to be more affordable, and it will help Apple roll out the devices without any production delays.
As of now, the Apple iPhone X features a wide-angle camera that is capable of optical image stabilization, which makes it a top choice for pictures and videos that the users would like to take in low light. Furthermore, the camera also features f/2.4 aperture, which is only slightly faster the iPhone 8 Plus. The Apple iPhone X was released on Nov. 3.
