Apple September 9 Special Event: Will the iPad Air 3, iPad Mini 4 and iPad Pro Launch?
Apple recently sent out invites to the press for their September special event, where it is speculated they will be launching the iPad Air 3, iPad Mini4, and iPad Pro.
With less than two weeks left before Apple is set to unveil its new flagship handsets, the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, its anticipated September 9 event may also be the venue for the Cupertino, California tech giant to launch three new tablets: the iPad Air 3, iPad Mini 4 and the larger iPad Pro.
While Apple's iPads haven't been as revolutionary as their iPhone line, the company continues to churn out newly refreshed models to keep their tablet series relevant.

The 9.7-inch iPad Air 3 will sport either an A9 or A9X processor and run on a powerful battery. Reported to feature an 8MP rear camera and a 1.2MP front shooter, it will come in three color options of silver, space grey, and gold, and in three iterations of 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB of internal memory.
The iPad Mini 4 is geared to be getting the biggest makeover of the iPad line, and has reportedly been redesigned to resemble the iPad Air with a 6.3mm-thick frame. The 7.9-inch tablet may be carrying an A9 processor, and reports have pointed out to the presence of 2GB of RAM and 802.11ac WiFi support. Touted to be a slim and lightweight device, it will feature an 8MP iSight rear camera.
There has been speculation, however, that the iPad Pro won't be making a showing at the September 9 event. The 12.9-inch tablet, which Apple has been pushing to rival the Microsoft Surface Pro tablet-PC hybrid due to make its appearance in October, may have its official unveiling pushed back to a later date.
Carrying iOS 9 out of the box, the larger iPad Pro will have gesture control, a split screen view, and Force Touch Technology. It will also be sporting a USB Type C port and Apple Pay NFC online support.
