Apple Watch Series 2 Problems News: Upcoming watchOS 3.2 Update to Fix Persistent Issues With Wearable Device?

Following the Apple Watch Series 2's introduction last September 2016, many consumers took advantage of the holiday shopping season to procure for themselves the Cupertino-based tech giant's second-generation smartwatch. However, the wearable device hasn't been all that impressive for some as they continue to experience issues due to both software and hardware problems.

To recall, when Apple released the watchOS 3.1.1 update in December, a lot of Apple Watch Series 2 users found their devices bricked. The wearable device would no longer function and only a red exclamation mark would be displayed on the screen. Users became frustrated as the issue could not be fixed by rebooting and they found themselves having to bring the device to a retail store to have it replaced.

Now, with Apple scheduled to release the latest watchOS 3.2 update, users are more cautious about downloading the newest version of the operating system as it may once again cause irreparable issues.

On the other hand, Apple Watch Series 2 owners are also hoping that some of the persistent problems they have been experiencing will be fixed by the upcoming watchOS update.

Specific problems that users have been complaining about include crashing or freezing, the global positioning system (GPS) not working properly, not showing incoming calls and the battery quickly draining.

Given these complaints, the tech giant is expected to deliver an update that will greatly improve the overall experience of the Apple Watch Series 2 to keep its loyal customers happy, which, at this time, might be a tall order considering the increasing hype for the new Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches.

Reviews for the Huawei Watch 2, LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style have been generally positive and these next-generation wearable devices have been touted as great alternatives for the Apple Watch Series 2.

It remains to be seen if these problems will have a significant effect on Apple's smartwatch sales.
