Apple iWatch Release Date: Apple Announces WatchKit, Watch Coming Early 2015
Apple announced its SDK for the Apple Watch. Called the WatchKit, the announcement was made by Tim Cook at an event at the Apple Campus on Oct. 16.
The WatchKit will enable developers to get the tools they need to make apps for the Apple Watch. According to Tech Crunch, Cook mentioned that so far Apple has only worked with a few partners to build Apple Watch such as BMW, American Express, and Starwood Hotels. WatchKit will reportedly be available in November 2014.
The early release of the SDK will surely give developers plenty of time to make apps which will give those who are waiting for the Apple Watch something to really look forward to, as the smart watch has been delayed for an early 2015 release.

The Apple Watch was Cook's "one more thing" that he announced along with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus last September. It features a rectangular design with curved corners, and is Apple's first wearable gadget. It will also work with other Apple gadgets that run on the iOS8.
The Apple Watch will allow users to check messages, Facebook updates and other simplified apps while being on the go, which makes it incredibly useful especially for those who like to travel light.
Other apps that will be built in to the watch include iMessages, Calendar, Health, Mail, Photos, Weather, Apple Pay, Apple Maps, and a camera's shutter button.
The Apple Watch will be available in six colors—stainless steel, silver aluminum, space black stainless steel, space gray aluminum, 18-karat yellow gold, and 18-karat rose gold. The watch is expected to start at $349.
