Watch April the Giraffe Giving Birth Live Stream Video Online: No Labor Yet Despite Signs

Spectators have been waiting with bated breath for April the giraffe to give birth. And while April has been showing signs of going into labor, Animal Adventure Park revealed that a calf has yet to be born.

Animal Adventure Park updated their Facebook page on April 2 with a post from Dr. Tim: "Pretty much all of her clinical signs from a couple days ago are still true. She just isn't quite ready to give the world what it wants," the post reads.

Dr. Tim also clarified a few rumors that have been circulating online. Spectators are growing more concerned with each passing day because April has yet to give birth. However, Dr. Tim assures that April is not overdue or late, and that she "remains happy and comfortable (considering the circumstances)."

"She will have this calf when she is good and ready," the post continued.

It was previously expected that she would give birth on April 1, which would have been a perfect April Fools' celebration. However, despite the giraffe showing many signs of labor, the calf remained inside of her. Labor signs include increased discharge, full udders and no interest in food.

April has already given birth to three other calves, making this her fourth. She is currently 15 years old. Oliver, the calf's father, is five years old. This will be his first time becoming a father. Because of the unusually cold climate, April is not scheduled to get some yard time until Sunday, when temperatures are expected to be safer and warmer.

Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, New York, is where April is kept. Cameras have been set up in her pen to keep spectators updated. Those who are interested can watch the live stream on the park's YouTube channel. Regular updates are also posted on the park's official Facebook page.
