April the Giraffe Giving Birth Live Stream, Latest Updates: Text Alerts Live; Mom-To-Be Regains Appetite in Preparation for Labor
As of this writing, April the Giraffe remains pregnant. One good thing about it, though, is that fans of Animal Adventure Park's latest animal sensation can now sign up for text alerts as opposed to keeping vigil over the livestream feed by the hour.
The official April the Giraffe site has finally enabled signups for real-time updates on April's current status. Subscribers of the service will have the advantage of receiving significant news about April, Oliver and their unborn calf as soon as it happens. Aside from this, they will also enjoy April the Giraffe content that the general viewing audience has not been given access to.
The service costs a one-time charge of $4.99 and messages about April and her family may be sent until May 31. On their official Facebook account, Animal Adventure Park assured subscribers that they will be notified once the labor process finally begins and that messages sent through this service will be reserved for significant content and updates only. The service also promises to send photos of April and her calf during and after birth.
April has reportedly gained quite an appetite according to the zookeepers' update on the evening of Thursday, April 6. They said that other parks have told them that this was normal behavior for a pregnant mother preparing to go into labor.
The update the following morning revealed that April had finished off her grain from the previous evening and was continuously feasting on hay. Her udders were full and wax caps have also reappeared.
Dr. Tim's recent update on the evening of Friday, April 7 assured fans that both April and her calf were in good health and that the mom-to-be was "acting completely normal." The pregnant giraffe also continues to show signs that she's ready to give birth at any moment.
