'Aquaman' News: Crew Member Stabbed After Movie's Wrap Party

News recently broke that the wrap party for the "Aquaman" film turned messy when one of their crew members was brutally stabbed.

The said crime happened last week in Canada, where the film was being shot in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The crew member was said to have been leaving a pub at George Street when he was approached by a man, the perpetrator.

According to CBC News, the crime doer was in a "confrontational" attitude upon approaching the victim. They reportedly engaged in an argument, which seemed to have fizzled out after a while. Then, the man was seen walking away. However, later that night, they met again, and the stabbing took place.

The "Aquaman" crew member was brought to the hospital for treatment. Reports say that he is okay but is still shaken up from the incident.

The Newfoundland and Labrador's Provincial Police Service have reportedly released a statement, identifying a 22-year-old male named Corey Evans as the alleged culprit.

He had fled the scene but was arrested days later.

"22 year old Corey Evans of Mount Pearl was arrested on Sunday evening without incident and was held overnight," the statement said. "He was seen in Provincial Court yesterday morning on the following charges: Aggravated Assault; and Assault with a Weapon (x3)," it continued.

The authorities also revealed that there were three other people who sustained injuries from the incident. These were bystanders who tried to stop the crew member's attacker.

In other news, Nicole Kidman, who plays Aquaman's (Jason Momoa) mother, Atlanna, in the film, recently teased a few details about her role in an interview.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, she expressed her excitement about getting to look like a mermaid and a queen at the same time.

"I got to be like a mermaid! I got to be a queen, I got to wear a crown," she revealed.

However, considering that the "Aquaman" movie will have a dark tone, Kidman also talked about her character having a different side.

"I got to lie on a rock with my hair strewn, and blood," she said, adding, "And I kind of liked it."

DCEU's "Aquaman" is set to open in cinemas on Dec. 28, 2018.
