'ARK: Survival Evolved' Release Date: Survival Game Rolls Out Early to Xbox One; Features Exclusive Founder's Content
"ARK: Survival Evolved," Studio Wildcard's open-world dinosaur survival game, is coming early to Xbox One consoles — thanks to Microsoft's Xbox One Game Preview program.
"ARK on Xbox One will be the smoothest gameplay experience for the majority of gamers… especially for the price!" Studio Wildcard co-founder Jesse Rapczak said in a press release.
This means triple the content and a more mature game system as Xbox One gamers will have everything that's in the PC version of the game, Rapczak told IGN. "ARK Survival Evolved" became available through Steam Early Access, and during the months that followed, the developer has been updating the game at an "insane pace." There are now 224 iterations for the PC editions since June.

Xbox One players can expect to see updates, such as fresh content, new features, or general improvements, at most every two weeks. Studio Wildcard wants to continue the Early Access experience that PC gamers enjoyed to the console.
In addition to frequent updates, those who will avail of the Xbox One Game Preview will also get the exclusive Limited Edition Founder's content that comes with an ARK Founder's Trophy, an ARK Founder's Hat skin, and an unlockable bionic "Tek" T-Rex skin.
What's more, Rapczak says they will not have to buy the game again when it finally releases in June but just update their build and have the full game at the lower price.
"ARK: Survival Evolved" takes place in a mysterious island called ARK where players, who will take on the role of a man or a woman, will find themselves stranded at the onset of the game. In this island, they have to survive by killing or taming dinosaurs and other wild creatures.
Players can also choose to go vegetarian by living as farmers. There are various seeds to plant, and they can create crop plots and irrigation systems to help them grow their food.
Either way, the main objective is to stay alive and eventually escape. In case a character dies, players can choose to respawn and continue their previous progress in the game or they can start over with a new character.
"Either way the world goes on whether you are there or not!" Rapczak says of the game's persistent world mechanic.
Studio Wildard's "ARK: Survival Evolved" will be available for Xbox One owners on Wednesday, Dec. 16, for $34.99. The multiplayer game releases on PC in June 2016.
