'Arms' 3.2 Update Rolls Out for Nintendo Switch
"Arms," the fighting game from Nintendo made especially for the Switch console, just had a new update out. Version 3.2 focuses more on feature improvement and balance changes, including a fair amount of new gameplay mechanics.
Fans of "Arms" expecting a new character may come out a just a bit disappointed since what was teased as the bigger robot version of Spring Man turned out to be a non-playable character after all.
It's a new boss character named Springton instead, according to Gamespot. Springton, like most optional bosses in "Arms," will show up only under certain conditions. In this case, he will pop up to challenge players in the late stages of Grand Prix if they remain undefeated up to that point.
The new Badge feature coming with the new update rewards players for completing certain achievements, such as winning their first Grand Prix run or finishing a set number of matches with a certain character.
Version 3.2 also adds the new Recent Replays feature, a handy recording of the last few handful of matches by a player for them to study later, or just simply enjoy rewatching. It's a continuation of the gameplay and feature improvements that Nintendo has promised to "Arms" players since the first DLC that included Max Brass.
For this update, balance changes across the whole roster were made, as well. Lola Pop, for instance, the newest member added to the "Arms" character selection, got a few buffs that focus on making her faster.
"It's already been one month since she joined Arms. Her beginner's nerves have faded away, giving her increased movement speed during air dashes," the patch notes, via Destructoid, said before adding notes on her improved movement speed during a high jump, as well as when she bounds.
There's been a bunch of fixes for online play as well that covers Nade, Triblast, Guardian and Clapback. More details can be found in the complete patch notes.
