'Arrested Development' Season 5 News: Series Creator Reveals New Season Inspired by 'Making A Murderer'
Fans of the comedy series "Arrested Development" will be happy to hear that another season will soon be gracing the small screens.
The previous season of "Arrested Development" ended with a shocking murder. However, it has been more than a year since the finale of the series, which had fans wondering if there will be a future of the show.
Fortunately, the creator of the series, Mitch Hurwitz, explained that there will definitely be another season for the show. As reported by IGN, Hurwitz said, "It'll happen. It'll definitely happen. I say that because the actors want to do it, the studio wants to do it, Netflix wants to do it, I want to do it. It's just making it happen. There's no one resisting."

However, there has yet to be any news on when production for the season will start. This is due to the busy schedules of the actors as they all had other projects to work on. In the meantime, Hurwitz explained that fans can still enjoy the fourth season of "Arrested Development."
With that, he was still able to share that the upcoming season will be influenced by another Netflix series called "Making A Murderer," as per another IGN report. Aside from that, the season will take a political approach now that Lindsay Bluth decided to run for the Republic party. He said that they recently recut parts of the season.
He said, "We redid all the narration and reshot a few little things. Now we have 22 episodes, and they're delightful to watch and they're much less work than the Netflix series. My hope is we'll find a place to air those."
"Arrested Development" Season 5 was initially planned to release this year. However, fans can expect the upcoming season to be delayed. There has yet to be any release date announced for the series.
