'Arrow' Season 4 Release Date, Cast News: Should Felicity Be Worried? Parker Young to Play Thea's Love Interest

A slew of casting updates for the upcoming season of The CW's hit superhero drama TV series "Arrow" arrived this week indicating the new love interests for the show's major characters.

The report from Entertainment Weekly said that the series has cast Elysia Rotaru as the "new love interest" for Oliver (Stephen Amell). However, Olicity fans need not to worry on this one. EW further explained that the "Supernatural" actress will recur in a series of flashbacks as "someone from Oliver's past" although further details on her character are expected to arrive in the coming weeks.

"Oliver is gonna have a love interest in the past that will serve as a parallel or potentially a contrast to his love affair with Felicity in the present," executive producer Marc Guggenheim told Entertainment Weekly.

Aside from "Supernatural," Rotaru has also appeared in "Smallville," "Hellcats," and the latest on "iZombie."

Still on the issue of love interest, a casting report, this time coming from TV Line, said that the scripted program has just enlisted Parker Young as the "new man" for Thea Queen (Willa Holland).

According to the publication, the "Enlisted" actor will play Alex Davis, "a consultant working for Oliver."

His character was earlier described as a "handsome, charming, witty" and is utterly polished in every way.

Young's TV credits also include a series regular role on "Suburgatory" as well as guesting appearances on "Mad Men," "CSI: NY," and "Jane by Design."

"Arrow" Season 4 is slated to kick off on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
