'Arrow'/'Flash' Crossover News, Cast, Spoilers: Hawkman and Hawkgirl in Chains
DC definitely knows how to get TV fans excited for their show. Despite being able to maintain the interesting separate story lines of their two shows, "Arrow" and "Flash," the studio has been able to spice things up every now and then by bringing the two heroes together for a special crossover episode. However, there will be more happenings in the upcoming crossover as it will simply not just feature the two but will also introduce new characters and show a connection to the much-awaited third DC television series, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow."
According to Screen Rant, new characters Carter Hall/Hawkman, played by Falk Hentschel, and Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl, portrayed by Ciara Renée, are confirmed to be appearing in the next crossover. Kendra will apparently enter the "Flash" story line as Cisco's possible love interest, while Carter can be expected when the story moves to the "Arrow" setting. The synopsis released for the episode reveals crucial events that will be happening and also mentions Vandal Savage (Casper Crump), who is one of the big bads for "Legends of Tomorrow." Apparently, Kendra and Cisco will be attacked by Vandal, and Barry will seek Oliver's help to keep Kendra safe. However, it will get more complicated when a winged-man will enter the scene and sweep Kendra off. Alongside this synopsis is a picture showing a lineup of the Arrow team, specifically Arrow, Thea, Diggle, and Laurel with Flash, Hawkgirl, and Hawkman.
This crossover synopsis somehow coincides with a "Legends" synopsis, which states "Oliver and Barry Allen take Kendra Saunders and Carter Hall to a remote location to keep them hidden from Vandal Savage while they figure out how to defeat him. Malcolm arranges a meeting between Vandal, Green Arrow and The Flash that doesn't go as planned. Meanwhile, Felicity, Thea, Diggle and Laurel work with Team Flash to come up with a weapon powerful enough to destroy Vandal Savage." This plot given away by the episode summary may be a clue as to why Hawkman and Hawkgirl are seen in chains in a promo picture at some point, as perhaps they will be temporarily be captured by Vandal.
For now, fans await further announcement for the crossover as season 2 of "The Flash" cotinues to air on Tuesdays at 8/7 p.m. central, season 4 of "Arrow" airs on Wednesdays at 8/7 p.m. central and "Legends of Tomorrow" begins in 2016. All three are shown on The CW.
