'Arrow' Season 4 News: Lead Star Stephen Amell Hints Fifth Season Could Be His Last
Even at the height of its popularity, it appears that all things must come to an end for The CW's hit superhero drama TV series, "Arrow" Season 4.
This breaking revelation comes directly from the show's lead star, Stephen Amell, who recently went over to his social media to give hints that the end for the DC TV show is near.
"We were always built to be a five year show, which is a very courageous thing to plan for when you're just in the pilot stages of something," the actor who plays Oliver Queen/Green Arrow said, as quoted in a report from Inquistr.com.
However, for the media outlet, the original plan for the show is still subject to change and the initial five-season-run could still be extended, given the success it is enjoying in the small screen. The site went on to point out the possibility that the producers of the show have already figured out how to extend the storyline, way past the projected plan.
Currently on a hiatus for the holidays, "Arrow" Season 4 is slated to return with a midseason premiere titled "Blood Debts" this Jan. 20. Information about the episode is still scarce. However, fans are more than keen to find out if Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) will make it through the assassination.
To clear off the doubts, Rickards posted a photo on her Instagram account to give strong hints that her character will be found alive and well when the show returns next year. The image shows the actress sitting at a round table with the other cast members of the show including Amell, Katie Cassidy (Black Canary), David Ramsey (John Diggle), and Willa Holland (Thea Queen/Speedy).
It appears that they are on set of the show and are currently taking a break from filming.
Stay tuned for more updates.
