'Arrow' Season 4 Winter Finale Spoilers: Will Damien Darhk Finally Get A Win?
As with most American television series, 'Arrow' is also heading to a winter break to give way to the holidays and its winter finale is barely two weeks away. On December 9, the episode titled "Dark Waters" will be shown, and given its title, it indicates the major role that villain Damien Darhk will likely play in the midseason finale. According to a report in CarterMatt, it may likely mean some form of victory by Darhk against Team Arrow.
In episode 7 titled "Brotherhood," Darhk and his minions in H.I.V.E. continue to wreak havoc in Star City, while Diggle discovers that his brother Andy is still alive and is in fact in cahoots with the criminal organization. Team Arrow successfully retrieves Andy from H.I.V.E but not after an attack by the criminal group against the team while they were in their research lab. The episode was also when the team discovers Darhk's weakness in the person of Thea Queen, Oliver's sister and also known as Speedy of Team Arrow. In an encounter with Darhk, Thea discovered that Darhk was not able to suck the lifeforce out of her, which usually happens when Darhk touches anyone. The other thing that was discovered by Thea was Darhk's powers may be the key to finally cure her of her violent tendencies and bloodlust, which have plagued her since she was cured by the Lazarus' Pit.
According to the report, the episode's official synopsis indicates that Darhk is planning something big against Team Arrow. It reads: "After the city is attacked again, Oliver (Stephen Amell) makes a bold move against HIVE. Malcolm (John Barrowman) checks in on Thea (Willa Holland) and leaves her with a warning. Things take a horrible turn when Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) retaliates in a brutal manner at Oliver's mayoral holiday party." As fans know, Oliver has decided to run for mayor of Star City.
Given that Team Arrow has made the recent discovery of Darhk's weakness, they will likely find a way to use this to their advantage. At the end of the midseason, a cliffhanger may be in order so as to keep fans interested. According to the report, this may come in the form of a victory by Darhk, finally.
The show's return at The CW after the holiday season has not been announced yet.
