In the teaser, Chase tells Oliver that he got Susan to come with him by dangling a juicy story under her nose. The journalist looks like she is being tortured.

It looks like Chase is pushing Oliver to snap and go after him. In an interview with IGN, Segarra revealed that his character's mission is to break Oliver down psychologically. Chase never wanted to kill the Green Arrow. He kidnapped Susan because she would play a huge role in their cat and mouse game. He wants to see Oliver groveling at his feet since the whole thing is a game for him. What he wants above all is to get revenge. The upcoming episodes will reveal exactly how he became evil and why he hates Oliver so much.

"He's moving pieces that he knows Oliver's not going to be able to catch up with and I think that Susan is a very, very important piece of that puzzle. Susan is a very, very important piece and a very good move in the big chess game that's going on. And then to get to see that relationship, how it develops between the two, because ... Susan may feel betrayed by Oliver, so it's interesting to see how Chase will try to let's say navigate those waters, how he can get to his next move," Segarra teased in the IGN interview.

"Arrow" season 5 episode 16 will air Wednesday, March 15 at 8 p.m. EDT on the CW.
