'Arrow' Season 6 Spoilers: Olive to Become 'More Mature' This Season, Stephen Amell Says
"Arrow" season 6 has premiered this week, and it revealed who survived last season's Lian Yu explosion and who did not.
Oliver Queen's (Stephen Amell) team, composed of Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum), John Diggle (David Ramsey), Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy), and Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez), are all alive and well. The same goes for Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) and Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett).
His sister Thea (Willa Holland), on the other hand, is in a state of coma. Unfortunately, Samantha Clayton (Anna Hopkins), the mother of Oliver's son, William (Jack Moore), did not make it.

However, it was not just the good guys who came back for season 6. The evil Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) is also alive, even after Quentin shot her back in Lian Yu to save Dinah's life. Could this be one of the perks of being a metahuman?
Meanwhile, fans are excited to see more action and drama this season, specifically surrounding the relationship between Oliver and Wiliam.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, lead star Amell dished on how his character will be handling this new father-and-son relationship and teased that this season will feature a more mature version of Oliver.
"Oliver's doing his best, but obviously he's learning on the fly," he told the publication. "This is not a situation where William went from an infant to a toddler to — he's on the verge of being a teenager now and Oliver has had to step in," the actor added.
When asked if fans are going to see a lighter side to Oliver this season, his answer pointed to unlikely.
"I wouldn't say light. I hate that word, I don't mind that you use it, but I think it's a more mature version of Oliver that looks at a situation, makes a decision, and then lives with it," the 36-year-old actor said, adding that the character will be applying what he has learned from the past events to his life.
Moreover, he teased, "It's a lot less of that angst and the guilt and the brooding."
So, how will this "more mature" Oliver get out of the mess he found himself in during the premiere of "Arrow" season 6?
It can be recalled that the premiere episode ended with Oliver and Felicity tuning in to the news as it was revealed to the public that Star City's mayor himself was the Green Arrow. There seems to be no way for him to lie about it because a photo of him wearing the vigilante's suit was also shown in the news.
As to what happens next, fans will soon find out next week when "Arrow" season 6 returns on Thursday at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
