'Arrow' Season 6 Spoilers: Oliver Reunites With Former Prodigy

Roy Harper (Colton Haynes), aka Arsenal, will soon be back to reunite with his former mentor in the upcoming season of "Arrow."

According to ComicBook, Haynes will reprise his role as Oliver's (Stephen Amell) ex-vigilante prodigy quite soon. The actor confirmed via Twitter that he will be returning to the CW series.

Roy was last seen in an episode in season 4 as one of those whom The Calculator (Tom Amandes) brainwashed. The actor exited the show in the third installment and revealed that he needed the break to deal with some mental health issues. Many fans were disappointed at the time about his decision, but it was made clear that the hiatus would only be temporary. Amell himself said that it would be a mistake for the series not to have Roy back.

If Oliver will be overjoyed to see Roy again, he will be nothing less than antagonistic when Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke (Manu Bennett), returns to Star City. It has been teased that the villain will be back to get his revenge on the green vigilante. After the brief truce to take down Adrian Chase, aka Prometheus (Josh Segarra), Slade is now ready to continue his fight with Oliver. He will not be the only one who is after the Green Arrow's neck. Other villains will also scramble to kill Oliver.

The hero is expected to take on Richard Dragon (Kirk Acevedo) and his mercenary group in season 6. There is also Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) from Earth-2. The dark version of Laurel Lance is looking very tough and dangerous in the trailer released for the installment. She is shown getting the upper hand in the fight against the new Black Canary, Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy).

Executive producers Wendy Mericle and Marc Guggenheim have revealed their excitement over the Oliver/Black Siren storyline.

"There's going to be a team of villains this season but one of the biggest ones we'll see, [and] we'll see her from the beginning, is Black Siren. We're very excited to have Katie [Cassidy] back on the show and it's a great villain because it really speaks to the emotional state of everyone on the show, particularly with respect to Oliver because it's an old friend coming back to do some evil. So, it's going to have some resonance," Mericle teased on Comic Book Movie.

"Arrow" season 6 will air on Thursday, Oct. 12, at 9 p.m. EDT on the CW.
