Artie Lange Suspended for Urinating on Floor, Direct TV 'Looks Forward to His Return' (VIDEO)
Artie Lange was suspended from his radio host position on Direct TV after a Friday incident in which the comedian urinated on the floor and demanded that two women workers clean it up.
Lange, who is mostly known for his stints on the "Howard Stern Show," was suspended from the "Nick and Artie Show" after reports stated that he urinated in the studio. The comedian however, never admitted to the incident and revealed that he was suspended but claimed to be unsure of why.
"Direct Tv has suspended me from the N&A show for the next 2 nights. They won't tell me fully why. Can't continue w them. Sorry guys. Luv u," Lange tweeted after the incident.
Source close to the show however, informed TMZ that Lange had urinated on the studio floor and then insisted that the two female PAs on the show, "Twinsanity," to clean it up. The women refused.
Although Lange allegedly fumed after hearing of his suspension and threatened to quit, after some time had passed, the comedian appeared to become increasingly remorseful.
"Direct Tv are good ppl. I apologize to them for doing an offensive show," Lange added in a later tweet.
Direct TV, for their part, appeared mostly unfazed by the incident. While insisting that the comedian needed so time to collect himself, they also appeared supportive of Lange, confirming that the radio host would not be fired. In fact, Direct TV cannot wait for Lange's return.
"As Artie stated, he is sorry for the events that transpired on the show last Friday. He is fully committed to working with DirecTV and looking forward to his return," Lange's agents reported to TMZ.
The story however did not appear to end there. As of Wednesday night, Lange had deleted his tweets about the incident, although his motives have yet to be revealed.
