'Assassin's Creed: Origins' News: 'Legend of the Assassin' Launch Trailer Shows Gameplay and Locations in 4K

This week, gaming fans can finally start playing an all-new "Assassin's Creed" title with the release of "Assassin's Creed: Origins."

In time for its launch, Ubisoft also revealed another trailer for the game called "Legend of the Assassin," which showed the main protagonist, Bayek, in some action-packed fighting scenes while in close-to-reality locations.

Ubisoft told the story of the protagonists -- in true Egyptian fashion -- through transitions between ancient Egyptian art and stills from the "actual in game footage captured in 4K."

As the scenes rolled, the narrator gave a brief introduction of the game's protagonist and said: "The corners of this world speak of a man who fights without being seen, who goes where the gods forbid, who kills the wicked and the corrupt. What you have started in Egypt will change the course of history."

As the trailer's title suggests, "Legend of the Assassin" tells the story of Bayek and shows snippets of his back story, adventures, fearsome battles, as well as how he inspires the Brotherhood he leads in defending the people of the Ptolemaic Kingdom.

In one of the scenes featured in the trailer, Bayek was shown in what seemed like a meeting of the Brotherhood where he gave a pep talk. He said: "We must continue to fight and defend the free will of the people. And no matter how small, our Brotherhood is the only hope."

All throughout the trailer, Ubisoft showcased a variety of gameplay features that players can expect to see now that "Assassin's Creed: Origins" is out. Some of the notable scenes also previewed the protagonist and his stealth abilities as he is known as the man "who fights without being seen."

Meanwhile, in other scenes, fans got a glimpse of the highly advertised in-game locations that the developers designed based on real-life locations within Egypt. And apart from fighting enemies and his oppressors, the trailer also showed Bayek casually sliding down one of the Great Pyramids. The trailer also previewed epic clashes in the ocean and in the desert.

"Assassin's Creed: Origins" was released on Friday, Oct. 27, for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
