'Assassin's Creed: Origins' News: Release Date, Install Size, and Gameplay

As one of the most loved game titles in the community, "Assassin's Creed" is constantly on the fans' radars. Considering that the release date for the next installment titled, "Assassin's Creed: Origins," is nearing, details are abounding in the rumor mill as well as information from game developer Ubisoft. Recent reports have revealed that the install size is as hefty as Ubisoft claimed it to be.

Players, who would like to have the highly anticipated "Assassin's Creed: Origins" on their consoles," will have to free up 42.3 gigabytes of hard disk space, according to Gaming Bolt. This is several times larger than "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag."

However, fans do not seem too surprised with the install size, especially given the many features that it is expected to showcase once it is finally available for download. Furthermore, the install size might be heftier for those who are planning to have the game for the upcoming Xbox One X, as it features 4K resolution.

Fans are also advised to keep on the lookout for pre-download opportunities, especially since games with file sizes as big as "Assassin's Creed: Origins," usually allow players to do so before the release. This is to ensure that gamers will not have to wait a long time before diving right into the hard work that game developers put into every game title.

"Assassin's Creed: Origins" features the protagonist named Bayek, who is tasked to protect the country from forces who are trying to overthrow it. Furthermore, the game will be set in ancient Egypt, well before the Order of the Assassins were established. The game title will also feature a mode wherein players can explore and learn about the history of Egypt in a non-combat zone.

"Assassin's Creed: Origins" is scheduled to be released on Oct. 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
