Assassin's Creed 5 Rogue Release Date: Launch Set for November 2014, Available Only on Xbox 360, PS3?
After a Swiss gaming retailer unintentionally leaked what could be the last-gen version of Assassin's Creed last month, fans of the game were left wondering if Assassin's Creed: Rogue is the real deal, and whether it can be expected to make its way to the market soon.
Now, Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin's Creed: Rogue will get a worldwide release on Nov. 11, 2014 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. There are rumors that the game will not be released for the Xbox One or Playstation 4, due to the fact that those gaming consoles are already getting a different game titled Assassin's Creed: Unity this year.
For many fans, it seems like Ubisoft wants to differentiate the two games as separate gaming experiences, for now.
The game focuses on Shay, an Assassin who turns rogue when a dangerous mission that he has been assigned to goes horribly wrong. As Shay, users will experience the transformation from Assassin to Assassin hunter.
Here is the official synopsis of Assassin's Creed: Rogue.
"North America, 18th century. Amid the chaos and violence of the French and Indian War, Shay Patrick Cormac, a fearless young member of the Assassin's Brotherhood, undergoes a dark transformation that will forever shape the future of the colonies. After a dangerous mission goes tragically wrong, Shay turns his back on the Assassin's who, in response, attempt to end his life. Cast aside by those he once called brothers, Shay sets out on a mission to wipe out all who turned against him and to ultimately become the most feared Assassin hunter in history."
