According to Ubisoft, its Jack the Ripper expansion pack will be set two decades after the events surrounding "Assassin's Creed Syndicate." Featuring Jack's murdering rampage through the streets of London during what is known as the 1888 Whitechapel Autumn of Terror, players will join forces with Scotland Yard's finest to track down the serial murderer sowing widespread panic throughout the city.

The DLC will be available as a standalone pack, or purchased together with the "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" Season Pass, the latter including an exclusive mission for "A Long Night," a mission pack for "The Last Maharaja," "Streets of London" gameplay content, an exclusive XP boost, and two sets of top tier gear and weapons for the main game.

"Assassin's Creed Syndicate," Ubisoft's ninth major title in its "Assassin's Creed" series, is set during the period of the Industrial Revolution in the year 1868. Its plotline follows the story of Jacob and Evie Frye, uniquely talented twins who are well-versed in combat and stealth, as they battle against the Templars in Victorian era London.

The third-person open world video game will be the first time an installment in the series allows players to shift between the POV of the two protagonists, Jacob and Evie, as they work their way through opponents.

The game is expected to launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 23, with the PC version scheduled for November 19.
