Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update Arrives Ahead of Android Lollipop 5.0 For Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on AT&T
Android 4.4.4. KitKat update is now available for Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
The update arrived ahead of Android lollipop that is scheduled to roll out this year. Although most users are hoping for Android Lollipop, the Kitkat version still includes bug fixes and security patches.
The last update, which is Android 4.4.2 for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with AT&T carriers, was on March 2014. The recent update with file size JSS15J.N900AUCUDNL1 has a file range of 38.4 MB to 809 MB.
There are several ways on how users can update their Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with Android 4.4.4. KitKat. First is to wait for the Over the Air notification on your device. It may take up to two weeks for AT&T to notify all users.
Another way is to install Samsung Kies in your computer. After that, the user may connect the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the update will start. This is an alternative way if a user does not have a Wi-Fi access or if the connection is weak.
The update comes with a Galaxy Note 3 Value Pack, which contains Kids Mode,Slide Sync 3.0, Safety Assistance, Virtual Tour and Knox 2.0.
This is not the first time that AT&T pushed an Android 4.4.4 KitKat update. The first rollout was in November but the update was stalled due to bugs. The AT&T Address Book deleted contacts from the user's device. Gadget owners presume that the bug has been fixed for the new roll out.
More bugs will be fixed when Samsung Galaxy Note 3 receives the highly anticipated Android Lollipop 5.0 in the future. Although Samsung did not issue a specific date, Android Lollipop will reportedly arrive early in 2015. The roll out is specifically for an international version and not just for the US.
Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 32 GB under AT&T is available at Amazon for $564.99.
