Players will have the opportunity to choose from Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, Levi, Nanaba, Ymir, Miche Zacharias, and Christa Lenz in "Attack of Titan 2" to play as their character. They will also have the chance to create a character of their own. These custom-made characters will be called as Scouts.

Siliconera confirms that players will have a wide variety of options when it comes to customizing facial features. They can also choose the style of clothing for their Scouts, even pick the color of their Survey Corps jacket.

The sequel will also introduce a new tool that will allow players to analyze incoming titans from afar. The new tool, called monocular, will help players gather information to form strategies in defeating them, or it can also serve as a source of entertainment in watching the giants from far away.

Tecmo also announced during the live stream that players and their Scouts will have the ability to connect deeper with other characters in the game through the Town Life gameplay.

According to the "Attack on Titan" developer, Scouts and fellow comrades will build relationships while training and preparing for war with the Titans during the time in the Town Life play.

Tecmo also added that building relationships with other characters in the game allow players to see deeper into their lives and their significance in war.

"Attack on Titan 2" is expected to arrive in March 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and PlayStation Vita in Japan.
