'Attack on Titan' Season 2 News: Linked Horizon to Provide Opening Theme Song for Season 2
"Attack on Titan" is set to return next month for its highly anticipated second season. Just this week, Linked Horizon from season 1 has confirmed that they will perform the opening theme song for season 2.
As confirmed by the band, the title of season 2's opening theme song is "Shinzou wo Sasageyo!" or "Dedicate All Your Hearts." When Linked Horizon broke the news via Twitter, the band also announced that the single will make its debut on April 1 and will go on sale two hours after its initial release.
As of now, the creators of the anime series have not yet confirmed if "Attack on Titan" season 2 will have a second opening theme when it premieres next month. Since the 26-episode season 1 received two openings by Linked Horizon and season 2 will have the same episode order, it is possible that the band will provide another theme song for the series after the release of "Dedicate All Your Hearts."

The first opening song for season 1 was "Guren no Yumiya" or "Crimson Bow and Arrow," while the second opening song was "Jiyu no Tsubasa" or "Wings of Freedom." Linked Horizon's single "March to Freedom," which contained the two "Attack on Titan" season 1 theme songs, sold over 260,000 units in Japan.
Meanwhile, the official synopsis for "Attack on Titan" season 2 reads: "Eren Jaeger swore to wipe out every last Titan, but in a battle for his life he wound up becoming the thing he hates most. With his new powers, he fights for humanity's freedom facing the monsters that threaten his home. After a bittersweet victory against the Female Titan, Eren finds no time to rest--a horde of Titans is approaching Wall Rose and the battle for humanity continues."
