'Attack On Titan' Season 2 Release Date Rumors: Manga Series Creator Dishes Anime Timeline; To Focus On Chapter 34 of Manga

Hajime Isayama, author and illustrator behind the phenomenal manga series, "Shingeki no Kyojin" popularly known as "Attack On Titan," assures the public that there's more story left to be told.

Editor Kawakubo Shintaro recently spoke with Antenna to reveal the time line for the upcoming chapters as well as the duration left for the anime.

According to Shintaro, "There are about three years worth of manga chapters left." This statement comes in agreement with Isayama's earlier statement that the story, which started back in 2009, is approximately "60% finished."

Taking the details into account, it appears that "Attack On Titan" will probably include a total of 27 volumes. The fans are currently anticipating for the release of volume 18 which, according to Enstars, would include Chapter 71 ("Bystander"), Chapter 72 ("The Night of the Operation"), and Chapter 73 ("The Town Where Everything Began").

The anime version of SnK, meanwhile, is yet to air Season 2 which should include the events that took place in Volume 8.

In a report from International Business Times, it is speculated that the upcoming season will focus on Chapter 34 titled "Soldiers Dance" of the manga series.

IBT cited this claim from GeekSnack.com which also shared the purported sneak peek video for "Attack On Titan" Season 2.

The clip appears to have been filmed inside a theater during the premiere of the franchise's live action movie of the same title.

The footage is two-and-a-half minutes long and was devoid of any English subtitles. The uploader, however, provided some closed captions which, according to GS, were taken straight from the said chapter of the manga.

As revealed in the video, Hanji Zoe discovers that there's a Titan trapped inside the wall that surrounds the city. The squad leader turns to Pastor Nick to learn more about the issue.

Much to her dismay, the leader of the wall worshipers refuses to cooperate and even chose to be thrown over the wall rather than tell the truth.

Find out more about this surprising development when "Attack On Titan" Season 2 premieres sometime in 2016.
