Yuusuke Watanabe, who previously worked on "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods," live-action Gantz, Gantz: Perfect Answer, is in charge of writing the script and is in deep collaboration with Isayama and film critic Tomohiro Machiyama.

The film's cast includes seven new characters, with Shikishima holding the key to the film's story as "humanity's strongest man."

Isayama's creation focuses on the battle between human and titans who occupy the world outside mankind's walled world. The creator's manga spurred four spinoff mangas, the 2013 25-episode television anime version, two compilation anime films, and the two previously mentioned live action films.

There were recent reports that Isayama is also working on with Marvel to come up with a Marvel manga crossover. Marvel Comics talent scout C.B.
