'Avengers 4' News, Release Date: Set Photos Tease Clint Barton's Transformation Into Ronin
"Avengers 4" is already in production, and new set photos from the untitled film have emerged, confirming Clint Barton/ Hawkeye's (Jeremy Renner) new suit. The new photos show the Marvel superhero's possible transformation into Ronin, as gold markings which were not present in his previous suit are now visible on his knees.
Filming for the fourth "Avengers" film has just kicked off in Atlanta, so details about it remain few and far between. If the new set photos are anything to go by, however, it looks like Hawkeye is getting not just a new costume but also a new persona in the film.
Earlier this week, the photos surfaced on Twitter and quickly made the rounds online, highlighting Hawkeye as he wears a black suit from head to toe, matched with a long trench coat that covers most of his outfit. At first glance, the photos do not seem interesting at all. However, a closer look at the photos will make fans notice some new gold markings on his knees that resemble those that are found on Ronin's costume.

While the new set photos do not offer up a full look at Ronin's costume, it teases that Barton's story is finally moving forward in "Avengers 4." There are speculations that the set photos indicate that Barton will ditch his Hawkeye persona in favor of Ronin, although that remains to be seen.
Rumors about Ronin's story arc in the final "Avengers" film surfaced a few months ago, with reports pointing out that some tragic events will happen in "Avengers: Infinity War" that will put Barton on his path. Previous speculations pointed out that Barton might lose his family during the battle, prompting him to choose the darker alternative.
Meanwhile, Barton is not the only one who's getting a new look in "Avengers 4." Previously, it was also confirmed that Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) would sport a new blonde look in the film.
"Avengers 4" will open in theaters on May 3, 2019.
