'Avengers: Infinity War I & II' – Will the superheroes die fighting Thanos?

The third Avengers movie is a two-part sequel named "Avengers: Infinity War I" and "Avengers: Infinity War II" to be released a year apart. Part 1 will be released on May 4, 2018 and Part 2 will released on May 3, 2019. The plot seems to run around Thanos, the Mad Titan wanting to claim the 'Infinity Stones' to complete the 'Infinity Gauntlet' and become the most powerful being in the Universe. That's terrible but most shocking would be if Thanos manages to destroy our favourite superheroes as well.

During the end credits of "Avengers: Age of Ultron," the film subtly introduced us to Thanos. Most of the audience were left confused when after Ultron is destroyed, Thanos or the Mad Titan puts a gold glove on his hand and says cryptically, "Fine, I'll do it myself." What does this small shot indicate?

That gold glove is the Infinity Gauntlet. It points to one conclusion – Thanos is tired of his subordinates failing one after the other to get him all the Infinity stones. Thanos had given Loki and Ronan the task of retrieving one of the Infinity Stones, both of them did but used it for their own purposes and Thanos did not get his hands on them. Hence in the two parts of Avengers 3, he is all out to get them himself. But he is thwarted in his quest by our superheroes – Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk.

So much of the two parts will include Thanos attempting to get the stones himself. Thanos has no plans of killing the earthly superheroes, but that is the only option left open to him when they stop him from getting the Infinity Stones. Thanos wants, at all costs, to become the most powerful in the universe.

According to speculations, in "Avengers: Infinity War," we might witness the end of our favorite superheroes - Thor, Captain America and Iron Man. It seems probable that they will not survive the battle against the most powerful villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thanos.

According to Movie Pilot, Thor, Captain America and Iron Man may never fight again. Cap may die as he did in the comics. Thor may be imprisoned for ages and Iron Man might just retire. The site states that Marvel boss Kevin Feige once said "Avengers: Infinity War-Part II" will serve as a "finale" to the storyline that started with "Iron Man", 11 years ago. This could be part of MCU's strategy to expand it with 16 superheroes, some of whom are already introduced to us-Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange and Black Panther to name some.

On the whole, "Avengers: Infinity War I & II" does seem to be moving on towards closing a mighty phase of MCU.
