'Avengers: Infinity War' Movie News: Movie's Directors Excited about Star Lord's Inclusion in the Movie

Many of those who have been privileged to see the movie "Captain America: Civil War" in advance claim that it is the biggest film from Marvel, ever. However, with the confirmation of the Russo brothers that Star-Lord is going to be a part of "Avengers: Infinity War," it seems that things will continue to get bigger and better for Marvel Studios films as the studio refuses to rest on its laurels.

There is no denying that one of the reasons why the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" is considered big is the ensemble of superheroes that it has. The good thing about it, according to those who have already seen it, is, despite the massive list of superheroes that it gathers in the movie, each character is given his own story arc and a moment to shine, including Spiderman and Black Panther.

When the directors of the upcoming "Avengers: Civil War," Joe and Anthony Russo, were interviewed by Comic Book, they disclosed how fascinated they are with the works of James Gunn, referring to his "Guardians of the Galaxy." With this, they revealed that they are looking forward to including one of the characters' created by Gunn, Star Lord, in their "Avengers: Civil War."

"… We are both big fans of what James Gunn has done. Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you'd be very excited," Anthony Russo said.

Apart from the reveal that Star Lord will be included in the "Avengers: Infinity War," Joe Russo disclosed that something exciting is being cooked up for "Thor: Ragnarok" that makes him look forward to bringing the character back in the next "Avengers" movie.

"I'm excited to work with Thor… they're doing some really interesting stuff with Ragnarok and where he's gonna be at the beginning of Infinity War is gonna be a very interesting place and I think very profound. I think he's gonna have a real emotional motivation after that," Joe Russo hinted.

"Captain America: Civil War" hits the U.S. theaters this May 6 while the first installment of "Avengers: Infinity War" is scheduled for May 4, 2018 opening. Its sequel, "Avengers: Infinity War Part 2" is slated for a May 3, 2019 release.
