'Avengers: Infinity War' News, Release Date: 'It's Not Ready Yet,' Marvel Exec Says on Trailer

Teasers for the "Avengers: Infinity War" have made the rounds online in recent months, offering glimpses of the cast members in their respective superhero suits. Despite that, fans are still clamoring for the release of the official trailer, hoping to have a better picture of what's next in the "Avengers" franchise. If Louis D'Esposito's recent Twitter post is anything to go by, it looks like the trailer won't be out anytime soon.

Earlier this week, the Marvel Studios co-president gave an important update on the post-production for the "Avengers: Infinity War," teasing that the film is already in the editing room for the final touch-ups. Asked for updates on the film, D'Esposito responded to a fan and said, "All I can say is that I love it and I hope all you feel the same. It's currently being finished so it's not ready yet."

Although his response was probably not what fans hoped to get, it did shed light on the development progress of "Avengers: Infinity War." Previously, it was reported that filming had already wrapped and that the production was already starting to work on the editing, so it's possible that fans won't have to wait for too long to finally catch a glimpse of the official trailer.

At this year's D23 Expo and San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel offered fans a first look at the "Avengers: Infinity War" teaser, the full version of which the studio has yet to release officially. The clip unveiled at the two expos teased lots of action sequences and emotional moments for the characters and gave a closer look at Thanos (Josh Brolin), who will serve as the primary antagonist in the upcoming film.

"Avengers: Infinity War" will see the epic team-up of the most well-known Marvel superheroes as they band together against Thanos. The film will hit theaters on May 4, 2018.
