Baltimore Ravens Coach Harbaugh Is Interested in Reunion With Anquan Boldin

Right now, Mike Wallace and Breshad Perriman are the top two wide receivers on the Baltimore Ravens' roster, but the team will need to add more depth in the position.

During a press conference at the annual league meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, Ravens coach John Harbaugh revealed that he was interested in bring former Ravens wide receiver Anquan Boldin back to Baltimore and he said he really liked the idea of reuniting with the player who helped them win Super Bowl XLVII.

"I'm thinking about it every day. I know he loved it in Baltimore, and I loved him in Baltimore. [I] didn't want him to have to leave when it happened. That's just the way it all worked out. But I'd be for [a return]," Harbaugh said, via the Raven's official website.

"I will say this: I do believe he can still play at the highest level. I think his ability and skills are such that he's not going to drop off the edge just because of how he plays," he continued.

The Ravens are in the market for another wide receiver after they lost Steve Smith Sr. and Kamar Aiken. So, why not go after a player they are already familiar with?

To make this work, Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome would have to be on board with the idea of signing Boldin, and the wide receiver has to be interested in playing for the Ravens as well.

Boldin will turn 37 in October and he is way past his prime. However, he still has a lot left in the tank and he wants to continue playing next season. Right now, Boldin is still looking for a team and NFL.com has reported that he prefers to play for a team close to his family in southern Florida. But since his options are limited, perhaps he should consider signing with the Ravens if they reach out to him.
